Bangkok!

Refreshed from our lovely time in Koh Samet Adam and I headed off to the bustling city of Bangkok. I know quite a few people who have said Bangkok is not their cup of tea, but for me there is something about this city that I really like. Between friends new and old, amazing food, shopping and the partying I have always had such a good time in Bangkok. This visit was no different as we meet up with our good friends from back home Nat and Dan. I had a great time wondering, and partying, in Khao San and Ramburitti Road. We found the most adorable little cafe on Ramburitti that actually had an expresso machine and staff that understood how to work it. Obviously as we all love our coffee we were delighted by this find. The staff here were so friendly and polite, they even drew us little maps of the area inculding tips on what to see and do. One of the tips we took from them was to visit the weekend market referred to by locals as The JJ Market. This market is the largest in the world so it's not surprising the only photo I had of the day was me looking rather sleepy. If you don't allow the size of JJ overwhelm you then it's definitely worth going to. Nat and I snapped up a lot of bargins so stay tuned for a Haul Video on both our YouTube channels.

Koh Samet

Back in February I managed to get my hands on some incredibly inexpensive flights to Thailand. My boyfriend, Adam, and I have previously visited Thailand three years ago and completely fell in love with the country. When the opportunity of returning arrived we both jumped at the chance. Booking almost a year in advance meant that excitement and anticipation mounted to staggering heights  To be quite honest with you fantasies of Thai beaches and massages were the only thing that got me through the last semester of university! Koh Samet, our first destination, completely lived up to the hype I created in my imagination and so much more. Sunsets, crystal clear waters, incredible food and a harrowing off road dirt bike adventure virtually sums up our time on the island. Adam and I both never wanted to leave and even considered postponing our return to Bangkok. however as we were due to meet up with some friends in the capitol we begrudgingly left our island paradise.
If you are ever in Thailand I highly recommend you take the four hour journey out of Bangkok to Koh Samet. The island, whilst having resorts and restaurants aplenty, is not as developed as other Thai islands and the relaxed and laid back atmosphere is almost impossible to articulate.

Oh How I Want!

Mulberry Baywater Bag, Burberry Trench, Valentino Wallet, Tibi Shirt, Charlotte Olympia Kitty Flats and Balmain Leather Jacket.

It's that time of year again when all the fashion minds congregate in New York, London, Millan and Paris for a little thing called fashion week. Like every other fashion obsessed girl I have been glued to my laptop and iphone trying to feel like I am experiencing everything firsthand. Instead of showing you my favorite collections or street style snaps like every other blogger in the universe I thought I would show my wish list. You may have already noticed that none of these items have graced the catwalk over the last few weeks. Even though I am awed by the new collections and shows when it comes to splurging on designer items I am more drawn towards classic pieces. So if I had endless amounts of money to splurge these are the items I would rush out to get my hands on. I think the most outrageously priced item here, and the one I am pining for most is the beautiful Balmain Jacket. Maybe one day I will be lucky enough to call one of these babys mine.
Have you been keeping up with the fashion week action?
Tell me your highlights or fantasy wardrobe xx

MBFF Brisbane

As apart of my internship with a Brisbane stylist and editor I spent most of my time backstage at MBFF dressing models. The even was hosted outside the Treasury Casino and ran from the 25th to the 31st of August. Due to the frantic pace backstage it was an imposible setting to get any photo ups. I did manage however to snag a few backstage photos. The first lot of photos are from The Sunday Mails couture show and all the amazing gowns are from the lovely ladies at MXM Couture. The second round are from the Emerging designers show that was held on Thursday night and the colourful creations are from Ash to Gold. It's nice for me to be have these photos because apart from my access card, a few bruises and some new muscles they are my only momentos from the festival.
To be honest with the long hours and rushing around the rest of the week is an ascetically pleasing blur  of various models and designer.

I wish I wish!!

Left to Right: Nars Laguna Bronzer, Sportsgirl Kitty Shirt, Ray Ban Aviators, Jemma Kidd Dewy Glow All over Radiance Cream, Converse shoes, American Apparel Disco Pants, Karen Walker Rabbit Earrings and Marc by Marc Jacobs Too Hot To Handle Tote.

Being involved in the fashion industry through work, study and consumption I feel as if I have a never ending wish list. It dosent help that I am always combing the interent looking at my favourite shops and blogs. Instead of waging a war with my brain over buying these beauties or saving my pennies I thought it would be nice to share my latest wants with you all. Now that I have compiled my wish list into one space I've realised I have unconsciously sourced my perfect outfit. Shinny pants that suck you in, comfy shoes, designer shades and tote, bronzed and glowing skin and animals. Ahh how I am longing for everything on this page right now! Wish me luck on the saving verse spending war and tell me whats on your wish list.

The Dream Lip Team

When it comes to beauty I am a bit of a novice however this year as a result of watching way to many beauty gurus on YouTube I have been transformed into somewhat of a beauty junkie. That aside I have always been into lip products! I collected rimmel lip glosses when I was in High School then I graduated to Mac lipsticks and am now getting a steady collection of Revlon lip butters. It's quite unfortunate that I love lips so much because I suffer from incredibly sensitive lips. Every time the wether changes a few degrees or heven forbid forget my water bottle my lips begin to freak out. Being an Aussie girl I loyally stand by my Lucas' Paw Paw Ointment. This product has been my holy grail product since I discovered it on a skiing holiday when I was seventeen. Now I know most Australians are rolling there eyes right now thinking this is nothing new we all have about five of these floating around. Which is completely true we all know about paw paw ointment and have loved it for years. However a few months ago I decided to pick up the Lush lip scrub and have found that these two products together are a match made in heaven. These two products have saved my lips from the brink of being chapped countless of times this winter. The scrub takes away all the icky dead skin and the ointment nourishes and repairs. An added bonus along with lovely soft lips is that the vanilla and chocolate flavour of the scrub is incredible! As Lucas' Paw Paw Ointment has been a staple for me over the last five years I have a feeling the Lush lip scrub will be a favourite for a long long time.

June

Food, travel, fashion, pets and nail polish! This months instragram snaps basically sum up my favourite things in life. I jetted off to Sydney for a week in June to intern for Shop Til You Drop magazine. I had a fantastic week and when I wasn't in the office observing how glossy publications are run I was wondering the streets of Sydney shopping, eating and instagraming up a storm. The frosty weather meant I had to bust out my duffel coat that had not seen the light of day since my Japan trip. As I pulled it on I discovered a few receipts and train tickets scrunched up in the pockets. Its funny how a few scraps of paper can bring back a rush of nostalgia. Back home and I was interning again, this time at a fashion show set in the most quaint little church. Other than that all it seems I got up to for the rest of June was eat and paint my nails.
